Named after the monk who lived in a cave here in the 6th century, the chapel was built in the 13th century, and is accessed down a flight of 52 steps cut into the stone. Largely protected from the incredible winds, it was a lovely, peaceful place to watch the waves and the gulls...that was until we were joined by a family with a non-stop, barking dog. Cries of "Toby!" echoed between the cliffs to such an extent that whenever Danny and I hear a dog barking we both cry, "Toby!"
