On a lovely walk to a large waterfall I spotted this wonderful log crossing a small cascade up in the rainforest off the path. It was a lovely spot and the soft light was perfect for the scene. This ended up being my favourite photograph from the day, and is amongst my favourite photos from the past year - a good example of how sometimes the quieter shots can end up superseding the grand!
